With power density above 1350W/l (22.4W/inch³) and up to 4 converters per shelf in 1RU, the CDC-WI solution leaves a lot of space for the application, while providing safe and reliable power. Indeed, this converter has been designed for applications running in a 300mm (11.8") deep cabinet.

 

Beyond DC fault control, the unit is equipped with a smart derating of the power in regard to internal temperature. Signals include output current readout, remote on/off, voltage programming and single wire active load sharing.

 

The converters are designed to work in parallel, also together with 1000W recitifiers in the same shelf, making this product line versatile and adaptive. A redundancy diode on the output allows hot-swap insertion. Each unit is protected against input under-voltage, output overvoltage, input reverse polarity and over-temperature. It also features a smart output power limitation. Combined with the high conversion efficiency and a MTBF of 300 000 hours per Bellcore RPP standard, these protections secure excellent system availability.
